Since 2011 we have been carefully designing, developing and making accessories for cob ovens,
I soon found the need for a long-handled tool for clearing out ashes, moving the fire around, and retrieving hot dishes from the oven. So I developed this simple tool that can do all of this. It's a cob oven essential! Hand made in Leintwardine, home of FCOCo.

You can cook many dishes in your oven without the need for a door: for example pizza and flat breads are best cooked at around 400ºC. At some point soon though you will want to rake out your fire, pop on a door, and start baking and roasting. This beautifully made door is also the best place to start when building your oven. Designed to work with ovens that internally measure 600mm diameter/360mm high.
